Disgraced TV Evangelist Jim Bakker Makes a Comeback

After 30 years, five of which were spent in prison, TV evangelist Jim Bakker is making a comeback.
The Charismatic Christian preacher and his then wife, Tammy Faye built a massive organization in the 1970s with millions of dedicated followers tuning into the Television show, Praise the Lord or PTL. Through donations and outreach, the two founded Heritage USA, a Christian theme park. By the mid-1980s over six million visitors enjoyed the parks water rides and Upper Room church services.
Bakker, now 78, has now broadcast from a hidden compound somewhere in the Ozark Mountains a new message: the apocalypse is near.
Jim and Tammy had their fall in 1987 after a young church secretary named Jessica Hahn made public her sexual encounter with Bakker. The stain of hypocrisy was bad enough but then came the IRS audit. Public records indicate that Bakker still has unpaid tax liens of nearly $5.5 million. Tammy Faye died in 2007 from cancer
Baker new television show includes a mix of evangelizing and doomsday survival tips.
His young daughter Tammy Sue, who is now 47, and his new wife Lori Graham are actively apart of the new enterprise.
“One day you’re going to shake your fist in God’s face and you’re going to say, ‘God, why didn’t you warn me?’” says Bakker on his new show. “He’s going to say, ‘You sat there and you made fun of Jim Bakker all those years. I warned you. But you didn’t listen.’”

Kendra Wilkinson Uses Instagram To Tell The World Her Marriage Is In Trouble

Kendra Wilkinson is no stranger to drama. After all, she lived in the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Heffner and all his playmates. However, when her husband Hank Bassett had an affair four years ago with a transgender person, the tension mounted. Things were especially difficult since Wilkinson was eight months pregnant with daughter Alijah.

On her hit “E” television show, the tensions of the union after the event left viewers wondering if the parents of two would make it. While they were able to work through the problems with lots of therapy, Bassett never seemed comfortable in the “limelight.” He would prefer to be low key and live a simple existence. All those things are something Kendra could never be.

Every marriage hits some snags, but it seems that when celebrities put their lives on television for all to see, things always get worse. Kendra took to Instagram last night to announce to the world that she was having problems with Hank once again. She, also, used the opportunity to assure everyone that the issues depicted on her hit television show were not faked for the cameras. The couple is going through extensive therapy currently, and she has not been as available to her fans.

Part of the charm of this dynamic duo is the fact that they have faced insurmountable odds yet stayed committed. Though there is still much mystery surrounding the affair, since Hank doesn’t remember it, Kendra wants to keep her marriage. She used social media to tell everyone it’s time for her to step away from the television screen and work on her union. Hopefully, they will make it through this challenging season.

Michael Hagele: Tenacity and the importance of sole practitioners

Michael Hagele began his legal practice because through his experience he found that a smaller or a sole proprietary practice gave way to providing quality and cost-effective legal services. He finds that tenacity is vital to success. It’s that challenge of working through the problem, assessing any new information coming in that will lead to success down the road.

There was a time when he worked at a car wash in Chicago during the winter months. The experience pushed him to take charge of his own future, as well as find purpose in his life. For Hagele, clients come first as their life or business can easily depend on him being able to do his job successfully.

His day starts with what matters most to his clients, which means giving counsel on general or intellectual property issues. Hagele’s day spans from taking care of his clients to speaking with his overseas investment partners as they strategize and assess the project’s progress. He uses everything at his disposal to achieve his goals even as he takes a break from his day to enjoy the views that nature offers or taking a bike ride. This enables him to reach his creative peak, as he states that it’s not unusual for him to find solutions to his clients’ issues while he is outside and enjoying nature. See Michael Hagele on The State Bar of California for more details.

As an entrepreneur, Hagele uses social media tools because it’s an important factor towards growing a business in today’s age. Being an entrepreneur doesn’t come without its challenges as he has come to the conclusion that it’s important to find people that are just as invested as you in the success of the company.

At the end of the day, once it’s all said and done, he highly recommends reading a book by Ron Chernow: “Alexander Hamilton,” which covers the birth of the U.S. and at the same time, the book is highly entertaining.

Companies like O2Pur Lead the Way With Diverse Offerings

If you think changing Cannabis laws, and the chattering of social media have dented the tobacco market, you’re right… and you’re wrong! While there may be dark clouds on the horizon, some alternative companies are seeing their way through the smoke!

As traditional cigarette sales wane, e-cigarette sales continue to rise. With the pendulum now swinging, smaller e-cig vendors who had been watching the industry decline from the sidelines, have now begun to capitalize on the changing landscape.

Traditionally, large corporations spent millions (billions for most tobacco giants) to keep users informed and interested in their offerings. Now, by utilizing new trends in marketing, SEO, and social media, companies like Utah based O2Pur are able to level the playing field and compete with any other producer, regardless of size or market cap. And the way to keep your costs down, and your loyal following on the uptrend, is by offering a fair price and larger selections than traditional cigarette companies have offered! And that’s exactly what O2Pur has done.

With dozens of items in their online store, O2Pur customers can find both E-cig “Vaping” oils in multiple flavors and sizes, as well as every conceivable accessory. And keeping themselves relevant in an ever-increasing competitive landscape, comes by introducing those new flavors, oil types, and technology as the market ebbs and flows.

Surviving in this new world of social economies, it will be a far easier task for a company that is focused on providing products in a “niche” space than for large churning factories who still rely on the weather and global economics to set prices!

In the end, the smaller e-cig vendors like O2Pur will continue to do well, and that cloud on the horizon may very well just be a group of their happy customers sampling today’s newest flavor!

Actress Kirstie Alley Promises to Give Curling Another Look

Celebrity Kirstie Alley recently engaged in a Twitter feud with members of the U.S. Men’s Curling Team. The outcome of the exchange will please sports fans. The actress promised she would pay more attention to curling, a sport her son enjoys watching.

An Insensitive Tweet?

The controversy began when the actress, who had watched the televised Olympic Games, expressed her opinion about curling in a Tweet with Trump-like candor. She described the game as “boring.” Her casual remark did not escape a vigilant media. It naturally inspired a loud response from curling athletes, who roundly (and rudely) protested the Tweet online.

A Happy Hollywood Finale

Like a diplomat, Kirstie Alley soon elaborated on her remarks. She indicated she had wanted to watch figure skating on television, but her son preferred to see the sport of curling. She then tactfully promised to give curling “another chance.” The aggrieved athletes welcomed her open-mindedness. They promised to send both Kirstie and her son curling team shirts!

A Popular Actress

Now aged 67 and a grandmother, Kirstie Alley has succeeded in remaining a visible and popular star during an era when senior actresses often face a paucity of roles in Hollywood. In 1982 she gained widespread public recognition after appearing in a leading role in the Star Trek franchise hit Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Her lengthy credits include film, television and stage productions. (She has won both Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.)

Meghan And Harry Hit Edinburgh On First Scottish Visit

Edinburgh became the site of the fourth public appearance for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they took a tour of the capital city of Scotland on Tuesday. The happy, engaged couple visited the crown jewel of the community in Edinburgh Castle and greeted the large crowds who turned out to see them, reported the BBC.

Their joint appearance was a first for Scotland, and making the public rounds have been an effective and friendly way to introduce Prince Harry’s American-born fiance to the people before their May 19th wedding. Harry and Meghan have also wowed crowds in Nottingham, Brixton and Cardiff.

Meghan wore a tartan Burberry coat with a black turtleneck sweater and black flared trousers by Veronica Beard in the cold, damp conditions. Edinburgh’s Lord Provost Frank Ross greeted the beaming couple who often held hands during the walk along the esplanade outside Edinburgh Castle. Adorable Shetland pony Cruachan IV, the regimental mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, was waiting to give the couple a “neigh.” The nine-year-old pony was escorted by kilt-wearing Pony Major Mark Wilkinson at the famous castle.

The royal couple also attended the firing of the castle’s well-known “One o’Clock Gun.” After that event, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went inside the Social Bite, a cafe that supports the homeless and serves sandwiches. They spoke with the organization’s staff and volunteers about the issue and the hope to eradicate homelessness. Harry added that food always brings people together where they can share ideas and have meaningful conversations.

The excited crowds on Tuesday waved Union flags that bore a picture of Harry and Meghan. Some offered her flowers, cards and gifts, and many took pictures of the loved-up couple. Well-wishers were eager to shake Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle’s hands.

Bachelor Contestant Explains Why She Was Reported Missing

On Monday night, the latest Bachelor decided not to give a rose to Bekah Martinez, a 22-year-old nanny from Los Angeles. Whether it was that the age difference between 36-year-old Arie Luyendyk and Bekah that doomed the relationship or that the two just didn’t click like he did with the other contestants, the fact is that “Bekah M.” will be remembered much more for something else that happened.

Back in November, she was reported as a missing person by her mother to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

The whole incident started on November 12, when Bekah talked her mom on the phone and told her that she would be out of contact for about a week. Bekah was planning on working at her friend’s marijuana farm, which was in a relatively isolated area near Eureka, CA. It turns out that the area didn’t have any cell service, making it impossible for Bekah’s mother to get in contact with her.

After not hearing from her for several days, Bekah’s mother filed a missing person report with the local sheriff’s office. In response, the sheriff’s office tried to track down Martinez and any friends that she may have been with. Since their cell phones did not have any service, it seemed as if there was a problem.

Everything was resolved when Bekah headed back down to town. She made a call to her mother less than 24 hours after the missing person report was submitted, and all was resolved in the end.
