Christopher Burch, A Successful Serial Entrepreneur.

The technological and fashion industries continue to change every year. The two continue to grow together, and current technology seems to be fashionable. The music playing and storing gadgets have evolved from the boom box to the Walkman and the recent iPod. We continue to experience a combination of fashion and technology that delivers functional concepts. Fashion designers are using technology to create high standard, useful and innovative products. Anouk Wipprecht has used technology to design a drink-making dress and a self-painting dress. Teresa Alstin and Ann Haupt created Airbags for cyclists. Kevin Cannon and Ashwin Regan have created Frontline Gloves that can be used by firefighters to relay valuable information to each other through hand gestures.

Designers are also becoming eco-friendly by using recycled materials to create fabulous fashions. Designer SegraSegra designed jackets and t-shirts from recycled bicycle’s inner tubes. Emma Whiteside also recycled radiator copper to create a large gown. Soledad Martin is working on ways to charge a phone when walking or running. At times, fashion has been used to market technology. Diane Von Furstberg helped Google Glass in gaining popularity by models wearing them on a catwalk. Technology and fashion can help each other in making the world a creative, protected and beautiful place to live.
