The Kabbalah Centre was founded in 1922 by someone by the name of Rav Yehuda Ashlag. This Centre now has more than 40 locations as well as a very widespread online presence.

Kabbalah has developed many meanings over time and to different people it can mean different things. The Kabbalah Centre understands this and supports all of the different interpretations of the Kabbalah principle around the world. It is a non-profit organization and they make the Kabbalah principles something that are easy for others to understand and relevant so they are able to apply them to their daily lives. The Kabbalah Centre teaches this way of thinking as a wisdom that is universal and that predates religion or the Bible. They teaches that anyone can study Kabbalah, regardless of their path or their faith. They also teach in a way that describes the way creation started including the existence of humans and the journey that a soul takes.

The mission of the Kabbalah Centre is to provide a platform where they are able to help their students improve their lives. They accomplish this by providing their students with the spiritual tools that are based on the kabbalistic principles. The students are then able to apply these principles as they see fit so that they can make better decisions and not only improve their lives and benefit themselves but also help make the world a better place. This application of the kabbalistic principles is what is able to create the positive difference in all of the student’s life journeys.

The Ramifications of the Kabbalah Centre

In 1922 the Kabbalah Centre was established in Israel by Rav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein. The original establishment was called Yeshivah Koi Yehuda, and Phillip Berg and his wife Karen then re-established the United States Kabbalah Centre in New York City in 1965.

There was also a Kabbalah Centre established in Los Angeles in 1984, and there are other locations in Toronto and London. The approach that the Kabbalah Centre uses with its students for teaching purposes is that there is no requirement that the students know or have knowledge of Hebrew to study the Kabbalah.

The views of the Kabbalah is that it is a spiritual belief that all religions are merely spiritual branches of wisdom that is universal. Consequently, all religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Buddism, Islam and New Age Thinking are all part of, and branches of the wisdom of God. Kabbalah is then not an alternative to any religion in particular, but it is a supplement to them all.

Kabbalah does not become centric on God Himself because He is incomprehensible to us, but we dwell on the essence of God which is the “Light.” To further explain, it is reasoned that our five senses only reveal about 1% of the reality of God as the other 99% of our senses are incapable of accessing the reality.

The Kabbalah Centre goes on to teach that most of the unbounded spiritual energy that we should have access to is blocked by Klippot which blocks this spiritual energy from reaching us. It is only by study and the practice of Kabbalah and the practice of Jewish law that the Klippot can be removed. Negative behavior and violence are acts that Klippot is added.

The study of astrology is a part of the Kabbalah because it claims that cosmic forces affect everything and it has been a long-held Jewish tradition to study astrology.

Maryland to Unveil another Kabbalah Center

For all the students of Kabbalah teachings, a new Kabbalah center established in Maryland is here to make their lives even easier. Maryland residents who are avid followers of the Kabbalah teachings will cut their trips to Los Angeles as they will be able to access the pool of resources and knowledge associated with Kabbalah in Maryland.
The Center will open its doors to those who want to quench their thirst for spiritual guidance on September 29th. During the opening ceremony, the center shall offer a beginners’ guide on the basics of the Kabbalistic practices.

During the re-opening, the center shall also offer discounts of 40% on purchase of books and literature that they will be selling. The center will also give teachings on the relationship of the practice to astrology. Kabbalah shares close ties with astrology; many Kabbalah leaders have even published books on astrology.

Since the building was acquired, it has remained closed to facilitate renovation and construction of the spaces that shall be used as lecture halls and study areas where books shall be availed. Through its headquarters, the center shall attempt to make the study of its traditions universal.

Kabbalah Center’s popularity in USA and across the world has been on the rise. Dr. Rachel Glick, a Clayton counselor, credits the Kabbalah Center with helping her overcome her fears, grow professionally, and build stronger relationships.

What makes the practice more attractive is the fact that you don’t need to be of any precise religion to practice it. Because of the scientific advancement and discoveries that are made, many people have shifted from the mainstream forms of worshiping and are trying to find something that is more “real” to them.

Kabbalah has also been adopted by celebrities. Madonna was reported to be an active member and even went ahead to reserve Fridays for visiting a Kabbalah center. Other stars, such as Ashton Kutcher and his soul mate Mia Kunis, have also shown their association with Kabbalah publicly.

For instance, Mr. Kutcher and Mia Kunis were spotted in Israel for the funeral service of Rabbi Philip Berg. The Kabbalah Center was established with the aim of spreading its teachings on unity and charity throughout the world and providing a platform where people can come and learn about it.
