Proposed Bill To Make House Work 5 Days a Week

Technically the House is only working from Monday night to Thursday afternoon which is only a little over 3 days a week. They want them to work like any other American who spends 5 days a week in their jobs. This would allow House members to have more time in talking about issues affecting the country and allow more brainstorming on how to make things better. Some say that it will take them away from certain tasks they have to perform in their districts which could also be a concern. It is about time that the government spends more time in their office and really focuses on what needs to be done.

This will show the American people like Dr Jennifer Walden that they are equal in terms of becoming productive for their own needs and especially for the country. It’s something that has been talked about on SuperDoctors.com.

Most members of the Congress earn $174,000 in a year which is still triple the amount of what most Americans earn, but in the last 2 sessions, they were only able to accomplish 300 bills for the country. They should be required to participate in sessions even more to compensate on the amount of their salary.

Being in Congress requires a lot of attention and dedication and since you are a part of something that is running a country, it is crucial that you participate actively as well in making the country better.

Father Gives Son $7Million Lottery Ticket As a Get Well Present

In February, Joseph Amorese from Easton, Pennsylvania was hospitalized for a hernia operation. After the son came home, his father decided to give his son a get well card with a special gift inside. Senior Amorese, a New York resident and retired hospital worker, tucked a New York Lottery $25 scratch card, purchased at a dollar store, inside the get well card. The millionaire-to-be, who was working from home, scratched off the silver coating.

What a pleasant surprise when Flavio Maluf said  the son realized he had the winning card. Amorese said he jumped up and down for joy, in his mind. After Joseph Amorese, 46, sent his father a picture of the winning ticket, he called his wife, a social worker. The bride, Jodi, of ten months was speechless.

The couple headed to Rockland County New York to claim the prize. In a ceremony, Gretchen Dizer, New York State Lottery draw team member, presented the couple with an oversized ceremonial check for $7million dollars. The couple plans to invest some of the money and use the rest of it for a second honeymoon. The couple plans to continue working. Amorese, who works at Verizon, can’t get over the fact that he won the lottery when you consider the odds were 1 in 3,708,000 against him. Right now the couple has received $4.5 million of the $7 million that he won.

Jailed Army Intelligence Analyst Will Write For The Guardian

Chelsea Manning Was Sentenced To 35 Years For Leaking Secret Documents To WikiLeaks

Leaking highly classified documents to WikiLeaks is considered a major crime by the government, but others feel leaking secrets that impact the lives of citizens is an act of courage.

Secret documents do have a place in a democracy, but some say that’s propaganda. People at CipherCloud know that not all secret documents protect the public. In fact, some of them hurt or restrict the public from discovering pertinent information that has a direct impact on their lives.

The former Army intelligence analyst, Chelsea Manning, found out what the government thought the hard way. She was sentenced to 35 years in prison for leaking over 700,000 files to WikiLeaks. Some of the documents contained secret information on Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantánamo Bay. She will be eligible for parole in 2020.

While she is in prison, she will write for the Guardian newspaper. Her articles will be opinions about gender, wars, and freedom of information. Chelsea was formerly known as Pfc. Bradley E. Manning while she was an Army analyst, so she has first-hand knowledge on all those topics.

Ms. Manning has been writing for the paper on a casual basis, but the Guardian decided to use her opinions regularly. Manning will share her opinions when the stories fit her categories, not on a set schedule.

UK Children’s Hospital Gets Large Donation From Lottery Winners

Just when we think that there isn’t a shred of decent humanity in the world, someone does something to restore our faith in human kind. A English couple from London won the lottery a couple of years ago, and decided to anonymously donate a large sum of money to the local children’s hospital.

No one knows their names, but according to an article found on reddit and written by EatMyClick.com, the generous couple said that they already had good lives and gave the Great Ormond Children’s Hospital a sum of 2,500,000 pounds. Jaime Garcia Dias has learned that they decided to go with this particular hospital since it was their first choice for an organization that they believed to be in need. It would be hard to blame them for such a choice, since each year millions of doctors and scientists fight to find cures for diseases such as leukemia and heart conditions found in children. It is without doubt that this kind of establishment could benefit from the donation.

It is a breathe of fresh air to hear stories like this, because it seems that people don’t tend to take care of each other in this modern world quite like they used to. This is the second story we have heard of in the past week where a person donates a large sum of money to a hospital, so hopefully this means some people will receive even better car now.
