Freddie Gray Arrest Record

The city of Baltimore has been protesting for the majority of the week now due to the death of Freddie Gray, who died in police custody. Recent reports from the police and other individuals who were inside of the arrest van at the time state Freddie was attempting to injure himself while inside of the fan. While these have yet to be completely proven as they are waiting on autopsies to show what killed the young man, what is known is his extensive arrest record. The 25 year old had been, before his final arrest, been arrest 18 times, most of which are connected to medium level drug violations.

The first arrest of Freddie Gray took place on July 16, 2007 for possession of a controlled, dangerous substance with the intent to distribute. He was then arrested three times the following month (all in the same week), for false statement to a police officer, unlawful possession of a controlled, dangerous substance and possession of marijuana.

He was arrested four times in 2008 where he was sent to prison for several years with his last rest, of possession with intent to distribute, and then was put in jail again in 2012 after getting out. This occurred again in 2013 and, in 2014, he was arrested four times for possession of a controlled substance and narcotics. In 2015 alone he has been arrested four times, which was shocking to Karatz to say the least (five including the final stop).
