Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black Come Together for ‘Jumanji’ Sequel

Jumanji was one of the most popular films of the mid-90s and now some of today’s most popular actors and comedians will team together to work on a sequel. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson laid some rumors to rest with a post to his Instagram account.

“Just finished up Fast and Furious 8 and in two weeks, I’ll be off to work on my next project,” Johnson wrote. “I’ll reunite with my good friends Kevin Hart and Jack Black for a special project. We are going to co-star together in a Jumanji film. It is not a reboot, for the record. It’s going to be a sequel to an amazing classic!”

Jumanji is the 1995 film starring the late Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Bonnie Hunt. The film follows the life of Alan Parrish, a man who became trapped in a board game that he was playing with his friend, Sarah. The game must be completed before Alan can be freed. His big chance came more than 25 years later when two children discover the game. The end of the film is set up for the possibility of a sequel when the board game is discarded and later found by two children.

There have been no hint drops of what the new film will be like, but with the advances in technology and a cast of some of Hollywood’s leading funnymen, the Jumnanji sequel is definitely a flick to look forward to in the upcoming year.
